TATOC

TATOC is an association for members of any timeshare owners committee, association or other similar owner representative organisation from resorts around the UK and across Europe. The Association has members in the UK, Ireland, Spain and the Canary Islands, Portugal, Madeira, Malta and Austria.

Recognised by the official trade body for Europe, North Africa and the Middle East, the OTE (Organisation for Timeshare in Europe) as the only official voice for timeshare owners, TATOC has gone from strength to strength.

TATOC, together with the OTE, founded VOICE (Vacation Owners Independent Coalition in Europe) that acts as an independent not-for-profit organisation forming the vital bridge between timeshare owners and the industry. Launched in the UK, VOICE is the first co-regulatory body created to safeguard the interests of individual timeshare owners and consumers through the provision of information and advice.

TATOC contacted Thompson Fletcher Associates with a view to exploring Joomla! in May 2006. After seeing the very detailed brief supplied by TATOC, Thompson Fletcher Associates decided to base our solution on Joomla! due to it's flexibility and the desire for TATOC to take control of their own website.

After successfully going through the TATOC selection process, we worked hard with TATOC to ensure that their initial brief was followed as closely as possible, and in October 2006, we were proud to make the new TATOC site live.

Using a combination of open source and commercial components, plus some custom modules written specifically for the TATOC site, we were able to provide TATOC with the flexible and fully self-controlled web presence they desired.

Issues and regulations affecting the timeshare industry can change very quickly, and the ability to write and instantly publish a story on their own website - even very late at night! - made TATOC very happy.

In summary, we have assisted TATOC in transforming their website from the "brochure" they had into a dynamic, self-controlled site offering:
