Thompson Fletcher Associates was formed to address the specific needs of organizations wishing to move their internet presence away from the static brochures with which we have become all too familiar.

For the first ten years of our website design, build and maintenance activities, we were happy to develop highly successful websites for our clients, but for the last three years, we have worked hard to change the way businesses think of their websites - from us having control of their website, to them having control of their website.

Why?

Well, for one thing, you taking control is faster. Instead of having to wait for third parties to make a change to a page, our customers have the ability to do it themselves. Not all of our customers want to make the changes themselves, especially in the early stages of their ownership transition, and we of course are still here to make those alterations for them, but we have found that once people learn the "basics", they are happy to publish for themselves, and do so when they want to publish.

Taking control is cheaper. Why pay a third-party to make a change when you can do it?

It's also easier! Yes, strange, but true. How do you currently get your changes published through your third-party web designers? You may write your press release, then email it to your "publisher". You may also attach graphics, and would prefer that this parapgraph is indented... that word may require emphasis, or be in italics... you would like a link to another page here ... All of these things need to be communicated to your third-party - sometimes this works well, sometimes it works not so well.
